WALES: Jailed for spitting at girl aged 3.
James Sullivan, of Argoed, Kinmel Bay, admitted common assault on the child and her mother, and threatening behaviour.
Magistrates at Llandudno heard that spit had landed on the girl's forehead and Sullivan had also spat in the mother's face.
Prosecutor James Neary said mother Sarah Whiteside had at one stage been hit on the back of the head.
She also feared that he was about to push her head through a window after Sullivan grabbed her.
The prosecutor said Miss Whiteside had been extremely worried about her family's safety.
"Sullivan is very unpredictable," she had remarked in a statement.
Defence solicitor Huw Edwards said Sullivan didn't accept all the prosecution case but conceded that his behaviour was unacceptable.
Sullivan recognised that he had issues with anger management, the solicitor added.
He was sentenced to 18 weeks custody for the assaults and eight weeks consecutive for the threatening behaviour.
