WALES: Funeral date for popular Kyle, 18.

Byline: By OWEN HUGHES

THE funeral of a teenage mechanic who died on his dad's birthday after being crushed by the car he was working on will take place next week.

Kyle Druce, 18, of Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, was trapped under the vehicle in a private garage in Llanfihangel yn Nhywyn, after it is believed the jack supporting the car failed on Saturday morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by paramedics.

Kyle's death has left his family and friends devastated.

His funeral will take place at St Cybi's Church in Holyhead on Wednesday June 4 at noon.

His father Paul Druce, of Maeshyfryd, Holyhead, said: "The funeral is open to all Kyle's family and friends and is a chance for people to pay their respects and say goodbye to Kyle."

An inquest into his death has now been opened by the North West Wales coroner after a post mortem was carried out on Tuesday.
