WAL-MART STORES REPORTS NOVEMBER SALES

 BENTONVILLE, Ark., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE: WMT; PSE) today reported net sales for the month of November of $6,491,000,000, an increase of 18 percent from sales of $5,485,000,000 in the same period a year earlier.
 For the 10 months ended Nov. 30, sales increased 22 percent to $53,476,000,000 from $43,847,000,000 for the same period a year ago.
 Sam's Clubs had sales of $1,384,000,000, up 13 percent for the month, and $11,681,000,000, up 19 percent for the 10 months ended Nov. 30.
 Same store (club) sales for the periods ended Nov. 30, were as follows:

 (a) Sam's same club sales reflect a 2 percent decrease due to cannibalization in Sam's markets.
 The company had 1,994 Wal-Mart stores (includes 67 Supercenter stores) and 331 Sam's Clubs in operation at Nov. 30, compared with 1,838 Wal-Mart stores (includes 30 Supercenter stores) and 249 Sam's Clubs a year ago.
 Wal-Mart (WMT) operates in a 48-state trade area, and its securities are listed on the New York and Pacific stock exchanges.
