WACKENHUT ANNOUNCED DIVIDEND

 CORAL GABLES, Fla., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wackenhut Corporation (NYSE: WAK) today announced that its board of directors, at its regular quarterly meeting, declared cash dividends of nine cents ($.09) per share for its Common Stock Series A (WAK), and nine cents ($.09) per share for its Common Stock Series B (WAKB), payable on June 1, 1993, to shareholders of record at the close of business May 14, 1993.
 The Wackenhut Corporation is one of the world's largest companies providing security and security-related services, including the private management of prisons and correctional facilities. It is headquartered in Coral Gables, Fla., and its operations extend throughout United States and 50 other countries on six continents.
