W Hotels Launches Symmetry, First CD Curated by W's New Global Music Director Michaelangelo L'Acqua.

Sounds Selected by L'Acqua Provide the Perfect Jet Set Soundtrack, Including Artists such as Gossip, Sebastien Tellier, The XX and Daniel Merriweather, Among Others

MIAMI -- From the 25th Annual Winter Music Conference, W Hotels Worldwide celebrated the debut of Symmetry, the seventh edition of W's ultra-popular CD compilation series and the first CD curated by W's newly appointed Global Music Director Michaelangelo L'Acqua. Produced by Sony Music Entertainment's Commercial Music Group, Symmetry, which brings to life W's ongoing passion for music, debuted at an exclusive listening party at W South Beach, which featured a live performance by The Golden Filter, who has a remix on the new CD. For his first project for W, L'Acqua hand-selected all of the tracks on Symmetry, which include exclusive songs, first time remixes and the hottest tunes from around the world. Together these sounds create the perfect global soundtrack, designed to recreate the aural vibe of the W experience, be it the hustle and bustle of W Hong Kong, the seaside cool of W Barcelona or the private paradise of W Retreat & Spa - Vieques Island.

L'Acqua chose the name Symmetry to demonstrate the balance between each of the songs and how they each represent the aural symmetry between the W lifestyle, W's worldwide destinations and W's guests from across the globe. In addition to selecting each song, L'Acqua created an exclusive remix for the CD: the Venice Sunset Remix of Daniel Merriweather's "Impossible."

In addition to the exclusive performance by The Golden Filter at W South Beach, W also celebrated the launch of Symmetry with a pool party on that included DJ sets by Classixx, The Golden Filter, and L'Acqua. This was the first time W's guests and loyalists were able to soak in the sounds of the latest CD. Both launch events were sponsored by Veuve Clicquot.
