IT IS deplorable that politicians keep on scheduling TV commercials regarding benefit fraud, when they them selves then claim innocence when they are belatedly found out to have broken the law on political donations. This must surely increase the numbers of voters who avoid the ballot box, especially at a time when politicians have set up an independent electoral commission with the main mission to reengage all those who do not use their right to vote - an estimated 5m.
