Vote for Street Football project; LETTERS.

COLWYN Bay project Street Football Wales is in the running for Best Sport Project in this year's National Lottery Awards, and now needs your readers' support to help it win.

Street Football Wales provides football opportunities for people who are socially excluded through mental health issues, homelessness or alcohol and drug abuse.

It has leagues in Colwyn Bay, Swansea, Newport and Merthyr Tydfil, with each one playing one match a month. It provides weekly sports sessions for participants, as well as a training and education programme.

Street Football Wales is up against six other finalists from around the UK, competing for a PS2,000 prize and the chance to feature on a BBC1 show in September.

The National Lottery Awards celebrate and recognise the inspirational and life-changing impact of National Lottery funded projects.

Each week National Lottery players raise more than PS33 million for arts, sport, heritage and voluntary projects across the UK.

Voting closes at midnight on Wednesday. To cast your vote go to lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards Martin Kemp, Actor and National Lottery Awards ambassador
