Volusia Volunteers Honored: The Volusia County Bar and the Pro Bono Program of Mid-Florida recently held the 22nd annual Pro Bono Awards
Reception. Honored as Volusia County Pro Bono Attorney of the Year was
Diego Handel of Glasser and Handel for donating more than 111 hours of
service during the past year-and-a-half. The Special Education Award was
presented to a team of Volusia County School District professionals who
"under extraordinary challenges have enriched the life of a special
needs child." Among those specially recognized for their pro bono
work were R. Brooks Casey, Ivan K. Clements, Jr., Jim Dulfer, Philip H.
Elliot, Jr., Susan Fagan, Ben Fox, Kim F. Heller II, Greg Johnson,
Gerard F. Keating, Michael R. Kennedy, A. Kathleen McNeilly, Charles T.
Moore, Louis Ossinsky, Jr., Suzanne W. Ronneau, and Julia Ann
Soerpeboel.
