Volunteers in a gentle stroll around village; Marsden.

KIRKLEES Countryside Volunteers have organised a Marsden Afternoon Out - a four-mile medium walk - on Sunday September 11.

Participants should meet Oliver at 1.45pm next to The Olive Branch pub/restaurant, A62 Manchester Road, between Slaithwaite and Marsden . Do not park in the restaurant car park.

The venue is accessible by buses number 182,184 or 185.

The walk will be a gentle stroll into Marsden, where there will be time for a look round, a cream tea, a pint, feeding the ducks or whatever you fancy before completing the circular walk back to the start! Families very welcome.

It is expected to finish at 5pm. This walk is part of the South Pennines Walk & Ride Festival.
