Volkswagen AG (Xetra: VW), a Germany-based automaker, is launching a close-to-production electric concept, called e-Crafter, at the annual IAA Hanover show in Germany.

The model is the same size as the regular, diesel-powered model that it is based on. It features C-shaped LED daytime running lights, a specific shade of blue, blue accents at both ends and interiors with a power meter and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.

The power meter monitors a 100-kilowatt electric motor that produces 213 pound-feet of torque, and a 43-kWh lithium-ion battery pack mounted under the cargo compartment. The Crafter can drive for up to 129 miles on a single charge, but its top speed is electronically limited to around 50 mph.
