Volkswagen Group (Xetra: VW), a Germany-based automaker, has revealed details of Bugatti's 3D-printed titanium brake caliper.

The caliper was engineered using 'generative design,' a method that enables a computer to explore many iterations to achieve balance between strength and weight. The modern design method and 3D printing has reportedly enabled Bugatti to create a caliper that is 40 percent lighter yet stronger than the Chiron's current aluminium calipers.
