Voith receives several orders.

VOITH RECEIVES SEVERAL ORDERS. Voith Paper, Heidenheim, Germany has announced several projects:

* Voith Paper Automation has been commissioned by Stora Enso, Helsinki, Finland to supply a sheet break analysis system for Paper Machine Number 5 and Coating Machine Number 5 at StoraEnso Kabel GmbH & Co. KG, Hagen, Germany. The OnV WebVision system is used to analyze the cause of sheet breaks by monitoring the paper web using installed cameras. At Stora Enso Kabel a total of eight color cameras with lighting are fitted to Paper Machine Number 5, and seven to the Number 5 Coating Machine, so the entire production line can be checked. Also, 17 additional connecting positions are planned at critical points in the process to allow the cameras to be re-positioned as required.

* Century Pulp and Paper, Lalkua, India will substitute top grade recycled DIP fibers for part of its virgin pulp raw material with the help Voith. The DIP fiber stock will be used for printing and writing paper production on the mill's existing Escher Wyss Number 3 Paper Machine, and the new Voith Paper Machine Number 4, which was ordered in March 2005. Main requirements for the DIP are a brightness of 85 ISO and a very low stickies and dirt speck content. In cooperation with its joint venture company, Voith Paper India, and local manufacturing partner Larsen & Toubro, Voith will supply a two-loop DIP system for the 200 metric tons/day process complete with full Advanced Wet End Process (AWEP) technology for the approach flow.

* Nordland Papier GmbH, Dorpen, Niedersachsen, Germany has ordered another OnV WebVision sheet break analysis system following the successful installation in 2004 of sheet break analysis systems on two of its paper machines. A total of 24 color cameras will be installed on the Number 3 Paper Machine at Dorpen during the rebuild in the summer 2006. The system is expected to go on stream in September 2006.

* Stora Enso Suzhou Paper (Suzhou), Suzhou, China has run a production record on its rebuilt Fine Paper Machine Number 1. Suzhou ran a new daily production record on December 12, 2005 only two weeks after the official start-up. The previous record was exceeded by almost 8%. The machine has a wire width of 4.3 meters and a design speed of 1200 meters/min.
