Voith Paper consolidates finishing products.
Voith Paper Inc., Appleton, Wisconsin, USA, will consolidate all finishing products for the NAFTA market at its subsidiary Voith Paper Jagenberg Inc. in Enfield, Connecticut. In addition to the current two-drum and single-drum winder product lines, Voith Paper Jagenberg Inc. will assume responsibilities for Voith's finishing equipment, including: Janus[TM] and Ecosoft[TM]-calenders, Nipco[TM] -rolls and the Twister[TM]-roll wrapping and handling systems. Voith Paper Jagenberg Inc. will include support functions for finishing products, including product specialists, field sales team, engineering, project management, technical service and spare parts. Enfield will work in concert with Appleton and Voith's service organization to better address the needs of the paper industry.In other Voith Paper news:
The company was awarded an order for a new board machine for Shandong Bohui Papermaking Group in China in April 2002. The new production line will he installed in Shandong Province south of Beijing, and will significantly increase the group's output with its production capacity of 300,000 metric tons/year. The new board machine will produce white board from 100% virgin fiber furnish (pulp and BCTMP), in addition to board grades from almost 100% recycled furnish. The design speed will be 600 m/rain, with a wire width of 6,230 mm.
