Voipfone introduces new telephone service for BT telephone landlines.
INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTDVoipfone, an Internet telephone service provided by Inet Telecoms Ltd, has launched a new telephone service using ordinary BT telephone landlines and existing telephone equipment.
According to the company, Voipfone's new service means that customers can utilize a range of VoIP features, including call transfer, call hold, music on hold and call recording, without using VoIP or a broadband connection. Customers need no new equipment and can keep their existing telephone number.
The company also said that in the near future it will complement the outbound service with an inbound one, so that customers can also use some of the company's switchboard services, including telephone extensions, call groups, call forwarding and voicemail.
No pricing details were disclosed, although Voipfone claimed that with its new service calls are cheaper and many new services are available for free.
