Voice of the Mirror: News is all bad.
THE Prime Minister is not alone in thinking that it was a huge mistake to axe News At Ten.Thousands of Mirror readers agreed with our campaign to keep ITN's flagship news show.
But ITV's bosses didn't agree. And, for their stubbornness, they have been rewarded with drastically reduced viewing figures.
It is not too late for them to think again. Particularly now Tony Blair has entered the fray.
No one is benefiting from the new schedules. The news is worse and at a less convenient time. Most of the programmes filling the 10pm slot are poor.
Viewers have dropped off, so presumably advertising revenue has too.
It is in everyone's interest to bring back News At Ten.
