Voice of Scotland; Time to battle for both sexes.

So where are all the feminist now? They've spent years complaining about the belittling of women in society, on TV and advertising.

However, they never seem to say much about the way men these days are run down in TV commercials. It is not difficult to see how TV advertising is out of order in its use of offensive images of female violence against men.

Surely the point is that any portrayal of violence or sexual discrimination should apply to both men and woman.

Feminists should be battling to end the demeaning portrayal of both sexes, whether in TV programmes, advertising or in society as a whole. - F. Revees, Haddington, East Lothian.

Word on Tony
