Voice Of The Daily Mirror: A sick rip-off.

WHENEVER there is a crisis, someone will try to take advantage.

Even famines and droughts will bring out villains who seize any opportunity to make a quick buck or two.

So it was inevitable that someone would leap on the Sars bandwagon in an attempt to rip off people terrified for their health.

The Mirror has discovered a firm which is charging pounds 55 for a pack of respiratory masks which normally sell for a third of that amount.

The sort of villains who behave like that always have an excuse. They blame market forces or a surge in demand.

But there is only one real reason. They are sick rip-off merchants.

Taking advantage of people's fears makes them the lowest of the low.
