Vodafone to donate GBP1m to UNICEF.

The Vodafone Group Foundation, an organisation that has been set up to protect the environment, support sustainable business practices and support local communities, has announced that it will be donating GBP1m to UNICEF.

The donation will be made over the course of the next two years and will be spent to forward the End Child Exploitation campaign which aims to help children around the world that have been exploited by adults who abuse their trust. Also, UNICEF will use the money to combat child trafficking across south eastern Europe.

A spokesperson for UNICEF said that the organisation was grateful to the Vodafone Group Foundation for its support for putting an end to child exploitation.
