VoIP gateway.

The MultiVoIP gateway is available in two-, four- and eight-port models, and includes features selected specifically for implementing SIP telephony. The gateways connect to analog ports on telephony gear using no, four or eight FXS or FXO interfaces, connect to an IP network using a 10/100BaseT interface, include an RS-232 command port, are controlled via Web browser, and are flash upgradeable. The new models support SIP for sending and receiving voice over an IP network, T.38 real-time fax relaying for VoIP equipment interoperability, voice activity detection for silence compression, comfort noise generation for a more natural speaking experience, and 5.3 Kbps voice compression for maximizing bandwidth.--Multi-Tech Systems
