Vitamin Shoppe signs long-term lease.
Located at 2101 91st St. in North Bergen, N.J., The Vitamin Shoppe will in stall a state-of-the-art "pick and pack system" to serve its growing retail operations as well as its catalog and Internet divisions. The existing office space will be expanded to a total of 40,000 SF, while the building's exterior facade will be upgraded. The Vitamin Shoppe additionally plans to seek local approvals to construct a retail showroom at the facility, which will be open to the public.

"This lease marks an important milestone for The Vitamin Shoppe by allowing us to consolidate our current buildings and unite all our employees under one roof."
The Vitamin Shoppe selected this new headquarters based on its existing North Bergen location, which will ensure minimal workplace disruption, as well as its proximity to all major highways and trucking routes. The company plans to occupy the facility during the first quarter of 2003. The Vitamin Shoppe is currently in the midst of a tremendous national expansion strategy having recently opened its 100th store in Princeton, N.J. The Vitamin Shoppe plans to open an additional 50 stores over the next 12-18 months throughout the United States.
