Vitals, MedHelp Merge to Expand Consumer Health Offering.
13 October 2017 - New Jersey, US-based health care solutions provider Vitals has merged with California, US-based online patient community MedHelp to create digital health property Vitals Consumer Services, combining Vitals consumer websites and MedHelp, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Vitals operates vitals.com and ucomparehealthcare.com, consumer websites that help people find the best doctors for themselves and their families. Vitals has over nine m doctor reviews to help people make informed health care decisions. The company's search tools educate consumers to help them find better health care.
Founded in 2007, MedHelp uses technology, data science, and expertise in consumer health behavior to deliver engaging mobile health, empowering ms of users worldwide each year to better understand and manage their health. MedHelp was acquired by Aptus Health, Inc. in June 2014.
Vitals brings together cost and quality transparency along with consumer engagement programs to help people select high-quality, lower-cost care. Vitals helps more than 120m people each year access better, more affordable care.
