Vista's two levels: sales & awareness of Euro shows in Latin America.

Vista international is a distribution company which also acts as an agent representing television/feature producers and distributors who want to deal with the Latin American and the U.S. Hispanic TV industry.

Head of International Sales, Maria E. Ceballos stated the company's dual objective: First, we want "to open up the European programming market to Latin America, which helps us introduce new programs into that market while allowing us to take advantage of the new opportunities created by the expansion of cable and satellite in Latin America. Secondly, we would like to create an awareness of European producers and distributors for the Latin American buyers. We represent that European product which we feel is suited for the Latin American market, and we provide our producer and clients an assurance."

Since its inception Last August, Vista international boasts a client list which includes Bavaria Films (Germany), Tele-Images (France), GRB Entertainment (USA), Oasis Films (Canada), Colombia's Audiovisuales and Centauro Communciations among other independent producers globally. Their product catalogue consists of a broad selection of series, mini-series, feature films, documentaries and animation. Owned by Gustavo Nieto, the parent company of Colombia-based Vista is involved in the production of feature films, TV shows, dubbing and publishing.

One of Vista's key properties debuting at NATPE is the Centauro Communications/Ecuavisa six hour mini-series The Baroness of Galapagos. "This is an original Latin American production produced with the international market in mind," Ceballos said. She further remarked that, "As a point of interest, this is the first time a commercial film has been allowed to shoot on the Galapagos Islands."

When asked about what's in store for Vista in the future, Ceballos replied, "Vista will look towards acquiring product for the international marketplace that's produced in Latin America. That's a gradual and slow process though. Here at NATPE our aim is to present new product to buyers."

Among the newcomers at NATPE, Vista international is also introducing a 36-hour investigative series form Bavaria Films - Zurich: Banker's Secret.
