Vision Solutions launches blog featuring systems management tips.
Vision Solutions, a provider of high availability and disaster recovery solutions in IBM's Power Systems markets (NYSE: IBM), announced on Monday (5 May) a newly created blog providing systems management tips for IBM i (i5/OS and OS/400) operating environments.
According to the company, the blog - http://visionsolutionsinc.blogspot.com - already offers a number of tips, shortcuts and other ideas for better managing i environments, and new ones are collected from the company's technical staff every week.
Tips are reportedly available via the blog website, but can also be delivered to a web browser via syndication feeds like RSS 2.0, Atom, iGoogle, MyYahoo, and MSN. In addition, Google Desktop users can download a free 'gadget' that captures and presents tips via RSS feed within the Google Desktop environment. Widgets/gadgets for Windows Vista and Apple Mac are planned to be available in the near future.
In addition, the company has launched its World Pages - http://www.visionsolutions.com/world/world.aspx - an online resource library featuring white papers, regional case studies and product information in Chinese, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch and Portuguese.
