Virginia J. Palma, 55.

WESTBOROUGH- Virginia J. Palma, 55, of Burrillville, Rhode Island, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI after a brief illness. Born in Somerville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Eunice M. (McMulkern) Palma. She was raised in Dorchester and Dedham and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. She also attended the University of Massachusetts in Boston. Virginia was employed as a manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Mental Retardation at the Fernald School in Waltham for many years prior to her retirement. She was a resident of Burrillville and previously lived in Woonsocket and Dedham. While living in Dedham, she attended St. Mary's Church. Virginia is survived by one daughter, Naloti D. Palma of Westborough; one brother, William Palma of Saugus; two sisters: Cathy Palma of Saugus and Gail Palma of Rhode Island; and her life long partner, John Rimsans of Burrillville. She was the sister of the late Alfred Palma and Diana Rizzo. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5, at 11:00 A.M. in the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
