Virginia Industrial Show Returns to Roanoke.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

For the 20th year, the Virginia Industrial Show (VAIS) returns to Roanoke. This annual show will be held on October 22nd and 23rd at the Roanoke Civic Center.

Hundreds of companies will be represented along with the latest products and cutting-edge technology in machine tools, metal cutting and forming equipment, fabricated metal products, and other industrial products and services. Design engineers, top-level management, company owners, production managers, maintenance personnel, and other professionals from the region who work directly in product design and engineering, tooling, and machining will find the solutions they need on the show floor.

Professional Trade Shows (PTS), the show producer, expects a strong turnout of design engineering professionals in and around Roanoke. Now, more than ever, regional shows are more attractive to exhibitors and attendees because companies are cutting back on expenses and people are reluctant to travel. "A very strong attendee turnout for PTS' first half shows set the pace for our Fall shows," said Terrence Grogan, president of PTS. With companies sending fewer and fewer people to national trade shows, VAIS, a regional show, will attract the same audience as the big national shows, but at a fraction of the cost. It offers buyers the convenience of shopping where hundreds of much needed suppliers showcase their products and services under one roof, right on their own backyard. No planes to catch, no airport hassles, no downtime. It's only a short drive away for attendees.

VAIS is sponsored by Penton's leading design engineering publications: Machine Design, American Machinist, Computer-Aided Engineering, and Design Mart.

Professional Trade Shows (PTS) is the nation's leading producer of regional industrial trade shows. PTS is a division of Penton Media (NYSE:PME). PTS brings the highest level of MRO and OEM attendees to its shows, which allowed PTS to have a successful track record for more than 23 years. PTS shows offer its exhibitors and sponsors additional sales and exposure they demand from today's trade show producers.
