Virgin wants more flights to India.

Virgin Group head Richard Branson said on Thursday (31 March) that Virgin Atlantic wants permission to fly more frequently to India from Britain.

Currently there are limits on the number of airlines that can fly between India and Britain, the cities served, and the frequency of flights. Branson, whose Virgin Atlantic airline currently offers service from London to Bombay and New Delhi, said he wanted to offer as many as 21 flights a week to various Indian destinations from London and is also interested in investing in a domestic Indian airline.
