Virgin Whore Update: Auction Closes, Highest Bid for Elizabeth Raine's Virginity Is $801,000, But She Decides Not to Have Sex for Now & Instead Focus on Medical Studies.

A female American medical student who auctioned her virginity to the highest bidder officially closed the bidding at 8 pm on Wednesday night, May 7. Hiding the alias Elizabeth Raine, she posted in her Web site that the highest bid received was $801,000.

But in a twist which would surely surprise men hot for her body, Raine wrote on Thursday in her blog titled Musings of a Virgin Whore that "the terms of the auction will not be fulfilled." She said that she decided to "put a stop to the kerfuffle" and refocus on her medical training.

Raine explained, "I still do possess some spitefully strong beliefs about virginity, prostitution, and a woman's right to do as she damned pleases, but school is my first priority (as it has been for my entire life). At this point, I no longer care about the auction, at all. Thus was a very easy decision."

The future doctor, now 27, did not disclose the identity of the highest bidder with whom she would have gone out on a 12-hour date in Australia and surrender her virginity.

But she had stressed that the highest bidder may not be the guy whom she would have sex with because she reserved the right to vet especially if she feels her safety would be compromised.

On Tuesday, reports said that the offer reached $800,000 from Monday's high of $550,000. According to CBS Las Vegas, Raine received bids from Serbia, Japan, Australia, the UK and U.S. of more than $100,000 since April 1.

To bid, she required interested men to pay a non-refundable amount of $100 paid via PayPal. She would then inform the winner on May 7 to wire-transfer the amount he bid into a trust fund designated by Raine within 24 hours after their date. However, to assure the winning bidder her offer is no scam, she would only require him to make the payment after they had sexual intercourse, according to Raine's Web site.

Raine ended her latest post by stating her decision is not the end of her story, only the end of the auction. She would continue to share her life via her blog, although the future doctor is considering changing the title since it would no longer describe her correctly.

Any suggested titles for her revamped blog?
