Vintage bottle of wine is special lot.

Abergavenny Auctioneers J Straker, Chadwick & Sons' latest wine auction catalogue is something 'just a little bit special' say the auctioneers with a plethora of classic Christmas wines and spirits, including many mature vintages, liberally spread throughout the 970-lot catalogue.

One of the star lots is a single bottle from perhaps the greatest Sauterne producing Cheteau: Ch. d'Yquem from the fabled 1858 vintage. This particular bottle was found in a North Yorkshire cellar by Mr William Chadwick.

The auction next Saturday, October 22, commences at 11am but is preceded by a limited tasting from 10.15 to 10.45am with general viewing from 10am.
