About Hinds Hospice: Hinds Hospice is a non-profit hospice serving Fresno, Madera and Merced counties. Hinds Hospice was founded in 1981 by Nancy Hinds; who saw the need for hospice care in our community. Nancy opened up her own home and began helping those living with a terminal condition. Hinds Hospice believes in a philosophy of care for the end of life where the focus is on comfort rather than a cure, when life expectancy is believed to be six months or less. Hinds Hospice helps patients redirect hope into mending and restoring relationships, spending quality time with loved ones, and finding peace and comfort.
