ViewpointsRead about Dan's secrets.

WITH the considerable amount of aggro Dan O'Neill inflicts on himself over his frequent acidic comments in his column, we could be forgiven for thinking he has some kind of masochistic streak.

However, I reckon he simply has a mischievous streak. Hasn't anyone noticed that cheeky glint in Dan's eye?

Crafty old Dan knows that controversy is always interesting and seems to choose all the subjects most likely to cause controversy.

I can just picture him at his computer, grinning and thinking "this'll get the suckers going".

But, I would suspect that Dan is probably quite a nice bloke. I can see him as a closet Plaid supporter, a committed Royalist who loves dogs, a regular churchgoer who yearns to be able to speak Welsh and who will probably attend the forthcoming eisteddfod (disguised of course) and thoroughly enjoy it.

Perhaps though, it's time Dan eased off and concentrated on what he does best - interesting articles on our colourful past, before someone takes his comments too seriously and decides to shove a spud painfully up his exhaust pipe.
