Manufacturers/Distributors Reap Faster, More Secure Interoperability

Between Enterprise Applications

Lilly Software Associates, a global supply chain planning and execution solutions provider, and Viewlocity Inc., a global provider of software and services that integrate e-business networks and synchronize supply webs, announced today an agreement to support the interoperability of Lilly's end-to-end solution with other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems using Viewlocity's AMTrix(R) Integration Broker.

Under the agreement, Lilly will be able to offer Viewlocity's Integration Broker and standard integration connectors for SAP, Oracle, and other leading ERP applications which will enhance the external interoperability of Lilly's proprietary distribution applications. Specifically customers who have deployed Lilly's warehouse management system in a standalone mode, will now be able to connect directly into other leading ERP systems.

"We are very pleased to partner with Viewlocity," said Hermine Delany, Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Lilly. "While Lilly has always had its own seamlessly integrated end-to-end solution, we are looking forward to enhancing the interoperability of our complete supply chain suite with other customer required applications. Viewlocity's Integration Broker and their connectors will allow us to do that in a variety of ways, including assisting our customers in facilitating their e-business initiatives."

"It gives us great pleasure to partner with Lilly Software Associates and serve as the standard connector between Lilly's products and the many disparate applications upon which mid-sized companies depend," offered Greg Cronin, CEO of Viewlocity. "The main goal of this alliance is to offer an easy, effortless and secure means of enabling Lilly's solutions to interoperate with other best of breed applications, both within their customers' organizations as well as their customers' e-business initiatives."
