LOS ANGELES--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2000

Beginning today, for the first time in daytime TV history, ABC.com will stream 30-second sneak peek clips of the popular daytime drama "Port Charles."

This innovative initiative will give fans the opportunity to log on after 6 p.m. ET and watch an exclusive preview of the romantic drama the day before the episode airs. ABC.com is part of the Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE:DIG).

Angela Shapiro, president, ABC Daytime, said, "The initiative is designed to heighten this new approach to traditional storytelling and to provide a unique way of accessing the story."

Brian Bowman, vice president and general manager of ABC.com added, "The ABC.com `Port Charles' initiative is just another example of how ABC.com is converging with the ABC Network programming to enhance the total viewing experience for our audience."

The Internet initiative on ABC.com coincides with the commencement of a new storytelling format that begins with the Friday, Dec. 1, episode of "Port Charles." Each twelve-week arc will be titled as a "book," with each month given an individual chapter title. The first book is entitled "Fate."

ABC Daytime has launched a special marketing initiative that will air throughout the book of "Fate." Music by Olive accompanies and heightens the emotional imagery of the on-air campaign shot by director Peter Martinez.
