ViewSonic Showcases the Latest in Display Products and Previews Technologies for the Future at CES 2007.
Display Leader Continues "First to Market" Heritage to Give Consumers and Businesses More Display OptionsLAS VEGAS -- ViewSonic([R]) Corp. has once again brought display technology innovations to homes and offices everywhere. In conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the company showcased more than a dozen displays, including the industry's first fully-featured, multifunction, high definition DLP([R]) projector with an integrated iPod([R]) dock, two true 1080p HDTVs, and a complete line of Microsoft Windows Vista[TM] certified widescreen desktop LCDs that give consumers even more options for work and play. These displays further broaden the company's offerings for consumers' digital lifestyles, as well as business productivity applications.
At the show, ViewSonic also continued its long-standing reputation for innovation by providing a glimpse of future viewing technologies, such as a large screen LCD TV with an integrated iPod dock, wireless HDMI video capability and 3D desktop displays.
"ViewSonic is forging ahead in its focus to continually delight customers by launching a diverse and deep array of leading-edge display technologies," said Matt Milne, president, ViewSonic Americas. "By expanding our portfolios across all display formats, from widescreen displays and projectors to HDTVs, we are enabling consumers and professionals alike to realize that they can 'See the Difference(TM)' with ViewSonic."
Along with integrating iPod functionality across all display product categories, ViewSonic has extended more choices to consumers through new display sizes, feature sets and price points, including:
* Projectors: In addition to the PJ258D ViewDock[TM] projector with integrated iPod dock--the company now supports big screen viewing of video, games and data through four DLP offerings--the PJ503D, the PJ506D, the PJ556D and the PJ588D --as well as a three-pound PJ358 LCD projector.
* Desktop LCD displays: To give users more viewing power and versatility, ViewSonic's VX2055wmb and VX2255wm combine features such as a Webcam and speakers in a high-style, ergonomic design, while the VX2435wm and VX2835wm offer desktops the optimum in screen real estate and performance.
* LCD TVs: Priced up to hundreds less than premium competitive brands, the NextVision([R]) 61 Series of widescreen displays, including the 46-inch N4661w and 42-inch N4261w, feature 1080p resolution and advanced video and audio processing technology to enable consumers to reap the visual power of true high-definition digital content. To provide consumers with a display ideal for smaller environments like kitchens, the 20-inch N2652w HDTV also was introduced.
At CES, ViewSonic is also putting its display technology to the test by sponsoring TigerDirect's 10th annual "Build Your Own PC Race for Charity" event, which will be held Jan. 8 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Wynn Resort. ViewSonic has provided 34 LCDs for the competition and will donate the technology to the winner's educational charity of choice.
