Vietnam : Government Office signed Memorandum of Understanding on administrative procedure reform.

At the headquarters of the Government Office (VPCP), a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on administrative procedure reform between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Business, Energy and Public Strategy took place. United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung; Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Vietnam, Gareth Ward and representatives of ministries, ministerial agencies and members of the Prime Minister's Working Group; Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between 3 agencies: Vietnam Government Office represented by Minister, Chairman Mai Tien Dung; The UK and Northern Ireland Department of Foreign Affairs is represented by the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Vietnam, Gareth Ward and the UK Ministry of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy by Mr. Graham Russel , Executive Director of International Law Enforcement Department as the representative.

At the signing ceremony this morning, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategies of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ambassador Gareth Ward and Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the VPCP, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategies of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland desires to build a partnership in securing the implementation of reforms in administrative procedures. in Vietnam in accordance with the functions, duties and powers of the parties, national laws and international treaties to which Vietnam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are members.

The Memorandum consists of 7 articles, specifying the scope, form of cooperation, support and issues related to cooperation, assistance in ensuring the implementation of administrative procedure reform in Vietnam, and improving capacity of government officials in connecting and consulting with the private sector, strengthening critical and consultative skills on public administration reform.

At the signing ceremony, Ambassador Gareth Ward said that this Memorandum of Understanding is within the framework of the British Government's Prosperity Fund to support a number of partner countries in strengthening reforms and economic development to eliminate poverty reduction and comprehensive development.

According to the Ambassador, the UK is proud to be in the top 10 countries with international transparency index and global innovation index, which is the main condition and also the criteria for the UK to help a number of countries. in the world, including Vietnam. This is also a program to support Vietnam in developing infrastructure, building smart cities, supporting in the fields of finance, economics, improving the business environment.

Also according to the Ambassador, Vietnam is one of the countries with the fastest economic growth in the world. Vietnam is also an important partner in many UK action plans, and the Ambassador shared his joy that the UK has a strong foundation to support Vietnam in fulfilling its priorities.
