Vienna sheds 20% interest in Flughafen Wien.


19 April 2013 a[euro]" The city of Vienna has transferred a 20% stake in Flughafen Wien AG (VIE:FLU) to port, museum and event areas management firmA Wien Holding GmbH, the Austrian airport operator said.

The city transferred an aggregate 4.2m Flughafen Wien shares to Wien Holding via a contribution in kind on 15 April 2013, the target, which operates the Vienna International Airport, said.

As a result of the move, the city of Vienna no longer has any bearer shares in Flughafen Wien, while Wien Holding has become a shareholder in the firmA with 4.2m shares.

The Flughafen Wien Group reported last month a 4.4% year-on-year increase in revenue in 2012 to EUR607.4m (USD794m). The group's EBITDA climbed 17.1% to EUR221.4m.
