Vienna airport announces 2004 profit.
Vienna International Airport operator Flughafen Wien AG reported on Thursday (31 March) its 2004 operating profit.
The Austrian company said in a statement that its earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose 5.3% to EUR102.5m from EUR97.3m in 2003. The 2004 revenues increased 14% and passenger numbers grew 15.7%, but at the same time its costs went up by 18.1%. Net profit increased 1.2% to EUR71.7m, the company said.
Flughafen Wien said that for 2005 it expects 8% growth in passenger traffic, 5% growth in flight movements and 5% increase in maximal take-off weight, assuming the economic conditions remain stable.
