Victoria puts Posh foot in it.

WITH her aching bunions and her hair scraped into a scrunchy, the strain of being a style icon is starting to tell on Mrs Beckham? You could almost believe she likes to help serve the lunches in her sons' LA school, till she poses for photos to illustrate the point in hotpants and 8in stilettoes.

Not exactly Victoria Wood in Dinnerladies. More 'done-uplike-a-dog's-dinner' lady. When I see her in a mince-splattered overall and J-cloth hat, I might actually believe she's set a deformed foot in a kitchen.

Still, I sympathise with the whole bunion thing. What woman hasn't regretted years of cramming her feet into inappropriate shoes? But our bunions are badges of honour for women everywhere.

We might be in pain. We might be hirpling like a giraffe on ice. But we're here and we're still standing.
