THE victim of a racist tirade on a Ryanair flight from Spain has refused to accept an apology from the passenger who abused her.
David Mesher claimed he was "not a racist person" in an inteview aired yesterday.
He also apologised publicly for the first time for shouting at 77-year-old Delsie Gayle, saying he had lost his temper "a bit" when he called her an "ugly black b*****d" and "stupid ugly cow" in an outburst filmed by another passenger and posted online.
Mesher, who has been spoken to by police in Birmingham, where he lives, told ITV's Good Morning Britain the row began after he asked Delsie to move from her seat.
He said: "I probably lost my temper a bit and ordered her to get up."
He added that he "absolutely" regrets his behaviour on flight FR9015 from Barcelona to London on October 19.
Asked if she accepted the apology, Delsie said: "I don't think so. You must forget and forgive but it's going to take a long time for me to get over what he has done to me."
