Vics aim to plug gaps.
Byline: Nationwide ConferenceCONCERNED about the number of goals his defence has been leaking, Northwich Victoria manager Jimmy Quinn expects to have a new defender on view for today's Nationwide Conference visit of Forest Green Rovers.
Vics have conceded 14 goals in the last five games, none of which has been won, and the Drill Field boss has Mark Barnard, Steve Davis and Steve Walsh all sidelined with injuries, along with midfielder Richard Norris.
Quinn has already signed two new players this week in Crewe Alexandra's busy midfielder Jamie Collins and utility-man Alan Brown (Nantwich Town) and both are in today's squad. Midfielder Peter Holcroft has joined North-West Counties League outfit Kidsgrove Athletic on a month's loan while summer midfield signing Andy Brownrigg from Greenock Morton and striker Paul Mitchell have been transfer-listed.
