Vic's groovy movie; THE DIARY.
Byline: Ashleigh Rainbird
Those who remember the 1979 Disco Dancin' Championships will be thrilled to learn Vic Reeves has written a film about them.
The comic, who will star as a flare-wearing groover in the flick, says: "I could have been a champion myself. And I will be in this film." The 59-year-old's wife, Nancy Sorrell, will play a rival dance team member.
And Vic's co-writer, ex-Emmerdale actor Tony Pitts, will also feature in Disco Pier, produced by Pow. Filming starts next year.
Meanwhile, Vic spent three months making 200 works of art for HOT TO Nancy an exhibition. They include surrealist objects, a depiction of the Royal Family "as hillbillies" and Rod Stewart doodles.
Speaking at the event, Vic said of his technique: "I drew Rod when I was very p***ed."
Vic's art is on show and available to buy at London's Grosvenor Gallery.
