Vertis Announces New National Market Account Teams; Newly Appointed Industry Experts Will Intensify Vertis' Focus on Key Vertical Markets.

Vertis, the premier provider of targeted advertising, media and marketing services, today announced the appointment of four new sales leaders in the automotive, financial, insurance and nonprofit markets. In the company's continuing evolution to offer clients more targeted advertising and marketing solutions that drive results, Vertis will intensify its focus on delivering integrated, targeted marketing solutions to these key markets.

"Vertis has a long track record of success in the automotive, financial services, insurance and nonprofit markets," said Janice Mayo, senior vice president of national sales and marketing. "By bringing on new team leaders with in-depth knowledge of these important national markets, Vertis will further enhance our ability to maximize the value of our customer relationships and improve revenue growth."

The industry experts appointed to their new positions include Joe DiMeglio, vice president, sales, for the automotive national account team; Anthony Hegarty, vice president, sales, for the financial national account team; Mike Lawson, national director, sales, for the insurance national account team; and Tommi Thornbury Pryor, national director, sales, for the nonprofit national account team.

Joe DiMeglio, vice president, sales

Automotive National Account Team

DiMeglio brings more than 15 years of automotive marketing experience to Vertis, most recently as a senior partner at J. Walter Thompson in Detroit where he managed the company's Ford Trucks and SUV business. DiMeglio also spent eight years with Young & Rubicam in Detroit, developing advertising programs for Ford, Lincoln-Mercury, and DuPont. He will lead Vertis' automotive sales efforts with both agencies and manufacturers on the West Coast, in the mid-Atlantic, and in Detroit, where he will be based.

Anthony Hegarty, vice president, sales

Financial National Account Team

Prior to joining Vertis, Hegarty was vice president and national practice director for RR Donnelley Financial, where he directed a national team in selling data analytics and full service creative and production solutions to financial services companies nationwide. Hegarty has also held vice president and national sales director positions for Experian, Alltel, and Bell & Howell. He will be based in Chicago.

Mike Lawson, national director, sales

Insurance National Account Team

Lawson joins Vertis from USA Direct, where he was vice president of sales for their MailNow software and associated print programs. Lawson has also held sales management positions at Equifax Marketing, Click Tactics, IXI, and The McClure Group agency, where he worked with organizations such as Colonial Penn, Zurich, Fireman's Fund, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He will be based in Baltimore.

Tommi Thornbury Pryor, national director, sales

Nonprofit National Account Team

Pryor is a recognized industry expert and marketing leader in the nonprofit industry. She joins Vertis from SOURCECORP Inc., a $450 million marketing services group, where she was vice president of development and marketing for the company's Direct division. Pryor has also owned and managed a full-service direct marketing agency in Washington, D.C., which raised an estimated $100 million for its nonprofit clients. She will be based in Orange County, Calif.

Vertis will support these national market account teams by enhancing its strategic account planning group with the addition of research analysts and specialists in customer response management (CRM), direct marketing, audience targeting, data and analytics.
