Verizon expands wireless network in Pulaski County, Virginia.

Verizon Wireless, an operator of a wireless voice and data network and a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD) (LSE: VOD), announced on Friday (8 August) that the company has activated a new cell site in Pulaski county, Virginia, USA.

The new cell site reportedly improves coverage along I-81 and Routes 11 and 100 near the city of Dublin.

The company said that this network expansion is part of its multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the demand for its services.

Verizon has reportedly invested USD300m in network expansion and services throughout Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland in 2007.
