Verizon Wireless, an operator of a 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, on Wednesday reported the enhancement of its 4G LTE network coverage in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Verizon Wireless has enhanced its 4G LTE network in East Hartford along Veterans of Foreign Wars Highway (Route 2) and Main Street as well as the area surrounding Goodwin College. It first debuted its 4G LTE network in Connecticut in May 2011.

According to the company, its 4G LTE offers customers with compatible devices speeds up to 10 times faster than con 3G networks.

Reportedly, Verizon Wireless has completed USD178.8m in wireless network enhancements across New England in the first half of 2014, increasing its regional network investment to USD3.73bn since its inception in 2000.

Verizon Wireless is wholly owned by Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) (Nasdaq: VZ).
