Verizon DSL service available at Wal-Mart stores in Indiana.
Communications company Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) has announced that Verizon Online DSL service is available at Wal-Mart Connection Centers at 18 Wal-Mart stores in Indiana, USA.
According to the company, Wal-Mart Connection Center associates will help shoppers use an automated ordering system that checks eligibility for Verizon DSL service and then lets them place their order in the store. A three-step, do-it-yourself installation kit will be shipped to the customer once the order is completed.
Pricing starts at USD17.99 per month (plus fees and taxes) for a connection speed of 768Kb/s downstream and 128Kb/s upstream with an annual service agreement. Qualifying customers can also order service with a connection speed of up to 3Mb/s downstream and 768Kb/s upstream for a promotional price of USD17.99 per month for the first six months and USD34.99 per month thereafter (plus fees and taxes), the company claims.
