Verenium Added to Nasdaq Clean Edge U.S. Index.
Verenium Corporation, a developer of cellulosic ethanol technology and a pioneer in the development of high performance specialty enzymes, is being added to the Nasdaq Clean Edge U.S. Index (CLEN) and the NASDAQ Clean Edge U.S. Liquid Series Index (CELS), effective with the market open on Monday, September 24.
"We are pleased to have been added to the Clean Edge Indexes and believe the inclusion highlights Verenium's leading position in the marketplace and our strategic rationale for the merger of Diversa and Celunol," said Carlos A. Riva, president and CEO, Verenium. "We anticipate solid progress in the coming year as the company works towards the completion of its first demonstration facility, a critical milestone on the path to commercialization."
