Veratec signs Latin American agreement.

A distribution agreement has been signed between the fourth largest nonwovens manufacturer, Veratec, Walpole, MA, and spunbonded nonwovens manufacturer Bonlam, S.A. San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The agreement, which has been in the works for several years, gives Bonlam exclusive rights to distribute Veratec products in Mexico and most of Central America. "We are looking at this as a first step in what we hope to a stronger presence in this region and also as a first step with this company," said Patricia Racz, business manager-consumer disposables at Veratec.

The move provides Veratec with access to the Latin American market while allowing Bonlam to offer its customers previously unavailable nonwoven technologies. Products will target health and personal care, feminine hygiene industrial and other markets.
