Cellix Ltd, an instrumentation and cell-based assay company, announced on Friday (4 April) its worldwide launch of the VenaEC Biochip.

According to the company, the VenaEC Biochip, the second generation biochip to Cellix's Vena8 Biochip, enables researchers to execute flow experiments evaluating the adhesion of suspension cells to an endothelial cell monolayer.

The biochip reportedly enables researches to use a range of suspension cell samples, including T-cells, monocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, platelets and whole blood (heparanized). It is compatible with the VenaFlux and Microfluidic SP Platforms and can be used to produce IC50 curves under shear stress conditions mimicking physiological flow.

No pricing details were disclosed.
