Vegetable 'Spin Dryer'

A heavy duty centrifuge is now being used to rapidly dewater washed vegetables used for sandwich making, salad preparation, fillers and quiches. For such purposes, the vegetables must be washed and dried before use.

This stainless steel equipment has a spinning time adjustable from 10 to 180 seconds, and the outside drive and all connections are waterproofed. The unit has a clear laminated lid and is supplied with a detachable plastics bucket by the manufacturers Watson Backus Machinery Ltd of Cresswell Close, Benner Road Industrial Estate, Pinchbeck, Spalding, Lincolnshire, tel: 0775 760056.
