Various programs to be held to mark Women's Day on Thursday.

KARACHI -- Various organisations and institutions have planned to organise programs, seminars and rallies in the metropolis on Thursday to mark International Women's Day.

According to separate statements issued here on Wednesday. Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi's library committee will organise a Mushaira at Gul Rang Hall at 5 pm. Gulnar Afreen will chair the Mushaira while Professor Razia Subhan and Zakia Ghazal will be the chief guests of the event.

The Center of Excellence For Women's Studies of Karachi University is going to organise a seminar in connection with Women's day at Women's studies center at 9 a m on Thursday.

The seminar is being organised in collaboration with Social Welfare Department of Government Sindh, Social Work department of Karachi University and Women's Development department.

Vice Chancellor of KU Professor Dr. Mohammad Ajmal Khan will preside over the seminar.

Home-based Women Workers Federation will take out a rally from Nishat Cinema to Karachi Press Club on Thursday. The rally will commence at 3 p.m. Women from various parts of the province will participate in the rally.
