Variocart carton erector.
For handling different carton blanks, the right solution can always
be found from the Variocart range. The Variocart C40 and C50 handles
handles pre-glued blanks made of plain or corrugated cardboard. The
Variocart C40, featuring state-of-the-art drive technology, can produce
up to 40 cartons a minute in intermittent mode. The pre-glued carton
blanks--American boxes--are inserted vertically into the magazine.
Vacuum grippers unfold the blank, and then the side flaps are folded in.
Hotmelt is applied while the carton is being conveyed to the closing
station, where the base is glued together. With a speed of up to 50 cpm,
and for certain blank sizes up to 75 cpm, the Variocart C50 rounds off
the top end of the Variocart C family. In the C--series, an enormous
spectrum of carton qualities can be used, like B, C and E flutes. These
machines can also handle folding cartons with glued-in partitions,
cartons with extra-long cross-flaps, or half-height and display cartons.
The Variocart C40 and C50 machines can be changed over for a different
product with just a few manual adjustments; no tools are required for
this. The Variocart CM40 is used for fiat-laying, slotted-type carton
blanks. Since these carton blanks have not been glued in the factory,
cost advantages can be achieved in procurement, and storage of the
blanks is simplified. This enables numerous different carton formats,
rectangular or octagonal, for example, to be created. Depending on the
blank sizes involved, speeds of up to 40 pcm can be achieved. Each
individual model scores in terms of functional design,
user-friendliness, and versatility in terms of feed and change-over
